Printable Chore Chart for Kids
and Tips for Parents
Yellow Bear wants to help make your job as a parent easier. Download this free printable chore chart (see below) and start setting goals for your family. There is room to write five chores and then award a sticker or stamp for each day the chore gets done. Print out one for each of your children. The design includes our own Yellow Bear logo.
Download Yellow Bear's printable chore chart, assign chores and reward your child with a sticker. As an extra incentive, award a fun event like a trip to the ice cream store or 15 extra minutes of TV after earning seven stickers.
Chore Tip #1: Every time your toddler completes the assigned chore the entire week, reward him with an extra book at bedtime or “5 extra minutes” of TV.
Chore Tip #2: Let your child select her own chores. This will give her a sense of accomplishment when she completes a chore she chose.
Chore Tip #3: Be creative with the chores but make them age appropriate. Too many chores, or too difficult a chore will only lead to frustration on the part of you, the parent, and your child.
Try these chore ideas:
-
Putting away socks and shoes, provide a basket to set up a specific location
-
Clearing their plate after dinner
-
Picking up toys
-
Making their bed
-
Loading the wash machine or clothes dryer (toddlers love to push the buttons!)
